Civil War brass match safe, 1" X 2 3/4". Spring operating button to open lid works fine. Good overall, a few exterior trivial surface dents. Most of original nickel has worn from the surface. Engraving on both sides, this is usually depicting an American eagle, but engraving has worn from handling.
