Civil War era 8-sided glass inkwell. Approximately 2 3/4" high, much larger than previous. Dark green glass full of tiny air bubbles. Embossed with "240" on bottom. These ink wells are recognized for their glass flaws and irregular sharp spouts. These types of inkwells are often found in Civil War campsites.
