Fine original Colt casing complete with all accessories of an early Pocket model. The Colt Pocket model is an early serial #100134 matching, 1855 manufacture. The metal overall is smooth and aging, the 4" barrel exhibits fading blue, while the rammer showing fading case colors. The rest of the gun is a pleasing dove-tail age grey. The cylinder scene on the gun is spectacular, vivid and crisp. 2-line New York barrel address, all marking are distinct and clear. No buggered screw heads. Tight mechanics. The grips are excellent with all original varnish remaining. Much of the original silver on the backstrap and triggerguard is present, but has tarnished with age. The original walnut casing is fine and shows wear really only to the compartments. It contains: original eagle and stars copper pistol flask, Colt's Patent marked 2-cavity brass bullet mold, nipple wrench, unopened package of original .31 caliber cartridges, tin of U.M.C. percussion caps.
This is a fine complete early original Colt revolver casing worthy of any collection.
