Colt New Army and Navy revolver. Marked on the butt "USN / with Anchor / .38DA / something obscured? / J. N. J. / 97585". Serial #97585, 1898 manufacture. It has swing out cylinder. The assembly numbers "533" match. Excellent condition overall with .98% overall deep blue, crisply checkered "COLT" grips. Crisp tight mechanics in both DA and SA. Bright excellent bore, with crisp 2-line Colt's barrel address and "COLT. D.A. 38" on the left side. Colt rampart stamped on the left side of frame. A wonderful example.
