1854 dated Batty "Peace" flask. This Mexican War era flask is marked on the top 'BATTY" and "1854". Beautiful age golden-brown patina overall. The body of the flask is excellent, free of any dents, wonderful detail on both sides. The seam is strong and shows no evidence of splitting or repairs. Both round side rings are present, remnants of a leather strap on one. The spout is marked with measurements and works and adjusts fine as well as the spring on the thumb piece. A nice example of a Peace flask with a very pleasing appearance.
