Scarce Volcanic pocket model. Serial #59, .31 caliber. Estimated quantity 850 manufactured. Metal is a nice dove-tail grey. The brass frame has a beautiful smooth untouched golden-mellow aged patina. The barrel is clearly stamped, "NEW HAVEN, CONN.(a little light) PATENT FEB. 14, 1854". Bore and mechanics are very good. Grips are very good with light age handling wear, retaining most of the original varnish. Original magazine spring present, unbugered screws.
