Civil War flap holster, this would fit a Colt Pocket, Police, Remington Pocket, Smith & Wesson, Manhattan. The black leather is in very good condition overall, firm & sturdy, free from any flaking. The seam is closed and there are no splits. The flap is fine as well as the original brass closure finial. The original belt loop is present on the reverse and appears to have originally been fastened with a brass staple, in addition to the stitching. No plug. A fine period flap holster with no issues.
