This is a fine original British Army Officer's gorget. Circa 1796-1830. Brass gorget finely engraved with the royal cypher and crown of George III on the face. Full-original lamb skin lining still present. It measures 3 1/4" across and 4 1/4" long. It is in excellent original condition overall. These would have been originally suspended by chains or ribbons.
