Civil War drummer boy, tintype image, full-case, 1/6 plate. Very clear image of a boy holding a military-style drum and long sticks. Posed in front of a backdrop and dressed in civilian clothes. Probably at enlistment before being issued a uniform. Full case shows very little handling wear to the exterior. Mat with some spotting. Beautiful rich maroon lining, complete with closure hooks.
