Wonderful cased set of Civil War era scales. Mahogany box measures 3" X 6 1/4" and is in excellent condition overall. Brass closure is fully operational. Contents holds two round brass weighing pans, balance, seven gram weights, with an additional compartment of 15 smaller gram pieces. The set is complete, usually when encountered something is missing. Balance ropes just need to be attached.
