19th c. American Indian trade bead necklace. 13" overall length. Old cobalt-blue and white beads showing age, string appears to be the original. At one point the wearer attached 4 crude brass rings for additional decoration. Some of the beads appear to have a dirt grit on them which could be removed if so desired. Displayed in a Ryker box, label on front glass reads "INDIAN TRADE BEADS 1800'S / EUROPEAN MANUFACTURE USED BY / AMERICAN FUR TRADERS". Nice display and quite old.
