Confederate General Robert E Lee authentic autographed carte-de-visite photo. This is an original wonderful clear image of the General, with a large superb clear dark-brown ink signature "R E LEE". It was at one time slightly trimmed at the bottom, but you can still read the photographer's marking on the bottom edge "BOUDE & MILEY / LEXINGTON, VA". The card is 3 7/8" X 3 3/4". Mounted on a Confederate grey mat and ornately framed to an overall size of 7" X 9". Autographed photos of General R E Lee are very desirable and sought after, this would be a focal point to any Civil War collection.
